About

I’ve spent more than two decades immersed in technology. Whether in corporate settings, nonprofit organizations, or as a hobbyist. I’ve seen firsthand how technology can level the playing field, giving everyone a chance to participate and thrive. In my view, code is the purest form of free‑speech: it lets anyone articulate ideas, solve problems, and share solutions without barriers.

Code is Poetry

Corporate Over-Reach vs Free and Open Software

Large tech giants such as Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Apple often present technology as a finished consumer product; something you simply buy and use. This narrative suggests that meaningful participation in the creation and evolution of technology requires massive budgets, proprietary tools, or insider access. In reality, the free software and open source ecosystems that power the modern web are more accessible than ever. Anyone with an internet connection can download, study, modify, and contribute to the very code that underlies the services we rely on daily, turning the development process into a truly collaborative, community driven effort.

We prioritize software that the community can easily access because open, well‑documented code brings several concrete benefits.

First, costs drop: organizations don’t have to pay expensive licensing fees or rely on a single vendor for support; instead, they can use freely available tools and tap into a broad pool of contributors who help improve and troubleshoot the code.

Second, deployment becomes simpler: when the source is open and the installation procedures are publicly documented, teams can tailor the software to their specific environments, automate roll‑outs, and avoid the lock‑in constraints that often accompany proprietary solutions.

Third, maintenance is more reliable: a vibrant community continuously audits the code, patches security vulnerabilities, and adds features, so updates arrive faster and with greater transparency than in closed‑source products. By choosing accessible, community‑driven software, we create a sustainable ecosystem that lowers total‑ownership costs while ensuring the tools remain flexible, secure, and easy to manage.
